Hi there, thanks for stopping by! My name is Ryder Babik and I am a current Mechanical Engineering Masters student in the Carnegie Mellon University class of 2022. Previously, I graduated summa cum laude from Washington and Lee University with a major in Engineering and minor in Mathematics. Although attending graduate school in Pittsburgh, PA and having completed my undergraduate education in Lexington, VA, my original home is outside of Boston, MA, where I was raised.
Exploration and the desire for new experiences have shaped much of my life, including my passion for engineering and specifically, mechanical and mechatronic systems development and product design. Nothing excites me more than tackling modern day challenges with innovative engineering methods and novel designs. I love to build and create, often spending late nights soldering on a breadboard or squeezing as many CAD parts as possible onto a print bed. Outside of engineering, I love physical activity, adventures with friends, and pruning my bonsai trees.
