- ABOUT ME -
Hi, I'm Marvin and the founder of Engineering Hire. I work in my dream job as a full-time mechanical design engineer. Several years ago, I graduated with my master's degree in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. After many internship seasons in both undergraduate and graduate studies, I quickly learned how best to prepare for interviews. During my academic years, I received well over 40 internship offers and not because of my resume or engineering depth of knowledge, but because I knew how to prepare and excel in the interviews.

As I then interviewed for full-time roles, I took that same methodical approach to learning what interviewers would ask and ensuring I provided great responses. After dedicating years of schooling to developing yourself as a capable mechanical engineer, don't you too want to ensure that your limited time with interviewers is your chance to shine?

With this mentality and approach, I received full-time opportunities from established companies like Tesla, Boeing, Google, and Proctor & Gamble, as well as small companies of less than 100 employees, and even down to the start-up level on teams as small as ten employees where I would be the lead mechanical engineer. Once again, I wasn't necessarily the most impressive candidate applying for these roles, however, I was the best prepared. Whether for a start-up or tech giant, mechanical engineering interviews share the same basic framework and topics.

From years as an interviewee and now as an interviewer, I will help you excel in your interviews by providing you with the resource set I wish I had at the start of my internship and full-time search. I can't promise you the exact questions you'll be asked, but I promise to help fast-track you towards landing the mechanical engineering role you desire. I've kept this resource set direct, digestible, and comprehensive of the material that will help you most. Your time is your biggest asset, and from one mechanical engineer to another, I look forward to helping you succeed so that you may have a fruitful future in this wonderful field.
